current exhibitions

In 2026, HEART presents three very different exhibitions, each rooted in the museum’s unique collection and offering new perspectives on how art is created, collected, and experienced.

Form | Imprint explores how the ideas of Concrete Art from the 1960s continue to resonate in contemporary artistic practice. Newly acquired works by Charlotte Brüel and Gun Gordillo are presented in dialogue with works by Gunnar Aagaard Andersen and Paul Gadegaard, activating the museum’s collection and highlighting artistic connections that emerge across time.

Bitten by the Bug offers a fascinating insight into a number of private art collections in Jutland. Works from private collections are shown alongside artworks from HEART’s own collection, giving visitors a unique opportunity to explore the passion, curiosity, and dedication that drive art collectors.

With Everything is wrong, visitors enter a playful and exploratory universe where art and everyday objects intertwine. Through this reinterpretation of Herning’s artistic and cultural history, new connections, perspectives, and stories emerge, inviting audiences to see familiar things in unexpected ways.
